Since April 3rd of 2018, when the wonderful citizens of Ferguson voted to raise the property tax rate that primarily funds the library’s work, we’ve been doing some awesome things – and it’s all thanks to you!
NEW HIRE
Rachelle Brandel, Adult Services Librarian! You might see her around town, delivering books to homebound patrons, teaching a business class, or on the circulation desk; make sure you say hi!
NEW DATABASES
Ancestry Library Edition – Genealogy research tools from the top name in the field. Library edition is available from the library building itself, so come on down!
EBSCO Auto Mate – Car repair help for DIY mechanics.
Pronounciator — Learn a new language with over 87 languages to choose from!

NEW BOOKS, EBOOKS, MUSIC, and MOVIES
The increase in our tax rate has allowed us to increase the amount of items we purchase each year as well as increase the amount of staff who select items for purchasing. Look forward to more new resources and, as always, make sure to check out the Wowbrary to learn about new titles!
MORE OUTREACH
Homebound Services
We have increased our homebound services to more Ferguson citizens, including the patients of Oak Knoll Senior Living Center and members of Aging Ahead!
Mobile Book Lending
We’ve taken our library on the road to make checking out library resources that much more accessible! Our current stop includes Oakmont Townhouses; contact us to see about your community location becoming a stop today!
Job Fairs, Farmer Markets, and other events
The addition of new staff members has allowed us to attend more community events than ever before! We hope to spread the word to every Ferguson citizen about our services and resources!
BETTER SERVICE
Our staff member Taneesa has been promoted to Lead Circulation Assistant and we have hired our newest member Rachelle to be the Adult Services Librarian. This means we now have a staff member committed to adult programs as well as a staff member committed to circulation procedures. We believe this will allow us to improve upon our current practices and offer our patrons better services and more opportunities!
