Learning Opportunities:


One-on-one Guidance: Our librarians and mentors provide answers and resources to specific questions concerning your job search. Bring your resume, cover letter, and/or any questions you may have to the business center, and we’ll work together to find the answer. Here’s a few documents you’ll need  to get started:

Bi-weekly Courses: Attend a structured, bi-weekly course dedicated to helping you write a resume and cover letter, and preparing for your future interviews
Bootcamp Courses: Mentors from the community teach structured 2-week long courses that work with you from start to finish in finding a career

Resources:

Print Resources: Our library contains numerous books on job seeking, the application process, and every topic in-between! So come in and ask a librarian for assistance and check out our catalog here.

Online Resources: Our library subscribes to numerous online resources including Learning Express, where you can prepare for job interviews and job specific tests, or improve basic skills such as math. (Library Card is needed for access)

Business Center Resources: Current job opportunities, community contacts, and other information to assist in your job search are available in an easy to find format! Browse our binders to find current job opportunities, brought to us from companies in the area, as well as information on library and community resources!

One-on-One Guidance: Our Adult Services Librarian can help you in the beginning stages of your business by walking you through forms and documents such as:

Structured Courses: Learn from community mentors about starting a business, applying for LLC status, and much more!

Resources:

Print Resources: Check out one of many books on business! From obtaining an LLC to the best hiring practices, we’ve got books on them all!

Online Resources: Online resources, such as the Small Business Administration, can be utilized from both a personal and library computer!
